If you've ever been to an antique mall then you know that there are tons of items that the average Joe can't buy simply because he has no way to get it home. You can solve that problem. Hit every antique mall you can and drop off cards advertising your service. Talk to the owner and tell him you'll give him a referral fee for every customer he sends. Point out that his sales will increase when people know that they can buy large items and he'll happily let you put small, tasteful signs here and there throughout the store.

You might also be able to scare up some business at estate auctions. Ask if you can put some cards at the registration table or booth (where people get their numbers) and see what happens. (Make sure that the cards have your cell number.) You might be able to get the auctioneer to mention your service because obviously having someone to make deliveries of oversized merchandise will encourage more bidding.

Before you giving any of this a try, however, make sure that you have the ability to safely move large, expensive items. The people who are buying this stuff will probably be the fussy types and you can bet that you'll hear about it if you scuff something. In the event you break something, you'll be on the hook for it so make sure you are properly insured. Also, make sure that if you need help, you get help - there is no need to risk your back (or the merchandise) because of your pride.
